Materials for Two Tone Earrings :-

gemstone chips (agate)
6 x 6mm silver bicones
2 x turquoise nuggets
2 x silver earring hooks
silver crimp covers
silver wire
silver head pins

Step-by-step :-

1.  Cut 2 x 13cm pieces of wire to make one earring.  Approx. 3cm from one end, twist the two wires together for approx 2cm and finish a wrapped loop with the twisted wire.  Trim excess wire.  For a more professional finish you may also cover the wrapped loop with a crimp cover.

2.  Thread two gemstone chips on each wire end and cross the two wires in a silver bicone.  Next, thread three chips on each wire and cross in another bicone.  Finally, thread only two chips on each wire and feed both wire ends through a bicone.  Finish with a wrapped loop as you’ve started, but slide the loop of an earring hook on first before finishing the wrapped loop.

3.  Thread a turquoise nugget on a head pin and make a plain loop above this stone.  Connect to the wrapped loop below your beaded motif and trim excess wire.  Make a second earring to match the first.


Materials for Crossover Cuff :-

gemstone chips in two colours (example - green and yellow)
3 x vertically drilled opal ovals
elastic cord (2 x 70cm)

Step-by-step :-

1.  Thread two green gemstone chips on to the center of one 70cm piece of elastic cord.  Also thread two yellow chips onto the center of the other 70cm piece of elastic.  With all four cord ends facing upwards, lay them parallel to one another.  Feed threads (b) and (c) through another green chip.

2.  Add another green chips on thread (b) as well as three green chips on thread (a).  Cross (a) and (b) in another green chip.  Similarly, also add a yellow chip on thread (c) and three more yellows on thread (d).  Cross (c) and (d) in a yellow chip. (Threads (a) and (d) is now on the inside and vice versa for threads (b) and (c).)

3.  Simply continue the sequence by adding a green chip on (a); a yellow on (d) and feed both (a) and (d) though another green.  Add a green on (a); three greens on (b) and cross (a) and (b) in a fourth green.  Also a yellow on (d); three yellows on (c) and cross (d) and (c) in a fourth yellow.  Make three more rows like these.

4.  After the fifth row, add a green chip on “inside green thread” and a yellow chip on “inside yellow thread”, but this time CROSS the two inside threads through a green chip instead of the usual feeding through.  Add a green chip on each inside thread.  Also add a yellow on “outside yellow” and a green on “outside green”.  Thereafter thread both “inside-“ as well as “outside green” through another green and also feed both the two threads on the other side through a green as well.  [(x) – see NOTE underneath]

5.  Close the center motif by adding a green chip on to each inside thread and cross in another green.  (NOW YELLOW SWAPS FROM RIGHT TO LEFT AND VICE VERSA FOR GREEN!)  Thus, add a yellow chip on to the “outer-“ as well as “inner left hand thread” and cross in another yellow.  Follow the same procedure with the two right hand threads, but this time in green.  [(x) – see NOTE underneath]

6.  Simply follow Steps 1 to 3 above to make five more rows like you did before, except that yellow and green is now swapped around.  Also keep feeding the two inside threads through a green chip everytime, just like you did before.  After the fifth row, feed the two inside threads through an oval opal and add an oval opal on to each outside thread too.  Connect by feeding through the chips on the other end of the bracelet and finish with some decent knot.  You may also employ some transparent nail varnish here to strengthen the knots.  Feed the lose ends through some adjacent beads before cutting off.

NOTE :-  Depending on the size of your beads or irregularity of gemstone chips, you may need to add TWO beads instead of one where the beads are marked (x) in fig. 4 and 5.
